Click this link to contact the conductor The NOCB is a civic band made up of approximately 60 musicians from all walks of life from the New Orleans area. The full band performs five to six times during the year and small-group ensembles perform for various events. The band was selected to perform at the American Concert Band convention held in Houston in April of this year. The season ends with the popular July 4th concerts at the bandstand in Lafreniere Park in Metairie on July 3rd and at Woldenberg Park on July 4th with the Mississippi river as a backdrop. NOCB mission: To provide free public concerts by volunteer musicians to the public of the greater New Orleans area, to encourage and foster adult concert community, municipal, and civic bands, and to promote the performance of the highest quality traditional and contemporary literature for band. * If you would like to be notified by email of upcoming concerts, please click here.
